Yvel is somewhat resentful towards his station, blasé about his responsibility and doesn't care about his duty. He finds the uptight, old-fashioned methods of nobility in Ishgard to be out-dated and puts very little emphasis on such things. He firmly believes all people worthy of respect regardless of station. This attitude often brings him into conflict with his younger brother, whom winds up filling in and picking up the slack whilst Yvel is off star-gazing.

Backstory

Born the heir to the house of Drancelmans, Yvel spent much of his youth cloistered away being taught how to be a Lord. He resented it so much he forced an ultimatum on his father in the wake of his mother's passing; let him out or lose him and his line. Given a touch of freedom, Yvel was drawn to the night sky, a calling to him, his eyes turned skyward and he never stopped looking up. He was talented, but the demands of his role were ever-draining, and when his father passed, he was suddenly saddled with his house.

Current Events

Lucky for Yvel, his father's wish had been to formally adopt his half-brother Olyver into the house, and though they'd always gotten along, it was a relief to know that such a fastidious member of the house could shoulder some responsibility, allowing him to pursue his passion when time permitted.

Nobility of Ishgard: Yvel hates being of a noble house, even more so a Lord. Interacting with his peers would be interesting for sure!Astromancy: Yvel is a prominent and gifted Astrologian, as such he's always open to talking his passion with others.Magic in general: Though ignorant of most other types of magic, Yvel is very interested in simply talking the passion of magic with others.

OOCly you can call me Sarto.I’m from the UK, so I usually keep EU times, but I also work shifts, including nights, so sometimes my timezone is a bit fucky.
